Carlos Valero, ASNA CEO and ASNA Europe President
Carlos Valero has been the ASNA International CEO since June 2009, and in December 2010 became CEO for the worldwide ASNA Group. Valero has more than thirteen years experience marketing and supporting ASNA products and services, and more the 25 years experience in the IBM midrange systems. In the most recent years, his primary focus has been on System i modernization and migration. He has a Masters degree and a Postgraduate degree in Management of IT from the UOC University and UPC University, respectively.
Anne Ferguson, ASNA US President
Anne Ferguson is the co-founder of ASNA (Amalgamated Software of North America, Inc.) and president of ASNA US. The first ten years of her career saw her rising through the ranks in marketing and management in the entertainment, communications, and publishing industries. She entered the computer industry in 1980 and later co-founded ASNA with David Ferguson. In 1986 Anne established ASNA’s European operations with the formation of ASNA, Ltd in the United Kingdom.
Eduardo Ross, ASNA Vice President of Technology
Eduardo Ross has served as vice president of research and development for ASNA from 1990 to present. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in information systems from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and where he served as professor of computer science prior to joining the ASNA R&D team in 1987. Ross jointly holds patents included in several ASNA products.
Michael Killian, ASNA US Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of Sales for ASNA, Michael Killian is responsible for sales of technology and services, including driving customer satisfaction, retention and new customer development for all ASNA solutions. Beginning his career in the mid 1980s at GTE (now Verizon) Killian held many different posts throughout the U.S. and UK managing credit and collections and handling various sales functions. It was during his tenure at GTE that Killian realized he had a passion for technology. This led him to ASNA where, for the last 17 years, he has helped customers solve real business challenges with cutting-edge technology.
Tim Jannsen, ASNA Europe Technical Director
A 30-year veteran in the IT industry, Tim’s application experience spans includes major industries such as forest products, insurance, transportation, utilities, retailing and distribution. He is heavily involved in the definition and testing of ASNA’s products, as well as training and mentoring customers with ASNA technologies.
Roger Pence, ASNA US Customer Service and Education Director
Roger Pence is ASNA’s customer support and education director. He works closely with ASNA customers, helping them modernize and enhance their System i applications. Previously, Pence was an IBM midrange journalist and technical editor—most notably as a senior technical editor for NEWS/400 magazine. He has written hundreds of articles and presented seminars around the world about the System i platform. In addition to his years of IBM midrange experience, Pence is a Microsoft Certified Application Developer.
Rick Farina, ASNA US Services Director
Rick Farina is the Director of Software Services at ASNA. Rick has been a developer in the 3X/400/iSeries/System i community since its inception; and for the past 12 years has been directly involved in Project Management, Application Development, and AS/400 to .Net Migrations using the ASNA Visual RPG, DataGate, and Monarch product lines.
Christian Neissl, ASNA Europe Region Manager Germany/Austria/Switzerland
Christian started programming on the IBM S/-Systems in 1982, and on PC-based Systems in 1985. Since that time he has been involved in many projects as programmer and/or project manager. Since 2002, he has worked with .NET and in 2004 he researched and found that ASNA products fit perfectly with his enterprise based projects based on the IBM i. Since 2008, Neissl has represented ASNA in the German-speaking regions of Europe. For ASNA customers, Neissl works as both a trainer as well as a developer and project-manager and ensures that projects based on AVR, MONARCH or WINGS runs as defined.
Francesco Dugar, ASNA Europe Region Manager Italy
Francesco started in 1981 as a junior developer with the IBM S/34. Three years later he was nominated as an IT Executive for one of the main industrial groups focusing on bathroom furniture in Italy . In 1986 Francesco founded his first Software Company and simultaneously became an authorized IBM Agent for IBM S/36 machines. In 1989, he installed one of the first AS/400 systems in Italy and became an application partner for the IBM ACG packages. 1998 was a milestone date for Francesco, as that is when he first met ASNA Management, after successfully using ASNA Visual RPG for a few years with his primary customers. Since that time Francesco’s business focus has been on ASNA solutions; first operating as an ASNA Distributor in ITALY and then merging his own company into ASNA. Since 2010 Francesco has covered the ASNA Marketing & Customer Support operations in Italy as manager inside the worldwide ASNA organization.
Jonathan Greenstreet, ASNA Europe Regional Manager UK/Ireland/Netherlands/Scandinavia/South Africa
Jonathan is an IT professional with over 25 years’ experience in the computer industry, 20 of these in the development and delivery of web applications. Jonathan first started programing on the IBM System 36 and then moved on to the AS400. Throughout his career he has worked with technologies including IBM midrange, Microsoft and Open Source. These skills have been utilized in many industries such as Banking, Publishing and the Food industry. Jonathan has worked at all levels, from application development to the management of large teams in multiple geographical locations.
In 2008 Jonathan joined a startup ISV that employed ASNA Monarch to migrate their System i application to .NET. Jonathan was responsible for enhancing the user experience and transferring the database to MS SQL Server. Jonathan joined ASNA in 2011 to represent the company in the English language speaking regions of Europe and South Africa.
