ASNA, a Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner, today announced plans to ship ASNA Visual RPG 10 (AVR) in July, 2010. This version of AVR works with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
AVR is a .NET-based RPG compiler that works from within Visual Studio just as VB.NET and C# do. AVR compiles to native MSIL code and supports intrinsic Visual Studio features such as its Windows and Web designers, Intellisense, its debugger, and its deployment tools. Visual Studio 2010 offers many enhancements and features, such as improved multi-monitor support, new debugging features, and a new-from-the-ground-up code editor.

In additional to its tight integration with Visual Studio 2010, ASNA is also excited to announce that AVR 10 will also work with the Microsoft Visual Studio Shell. For AVR 10 developers who don’t need VB.NET or C#, this offers a no-cost way to acquire the necessary host shell for AVR 10.
